How We Got Started

We have differentiated ourselves from our competition in three ways:

1. Results - we sell a higher percentage of our businesses; as a result, we have become the most awarded business brokerage firm in SW Florida since 2014.

2. Credentials - we are the highest credentialed business brokerage in SW Florida. Our credentials include Certified Business Intermediary (CBI); Certified Merger & Acquisition Professional (CM&AP); Merger & Acquisition Master Intermediary (M&AMI); Accredited Business Intermediary (ABI); Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA); Certified Business Appraiser (CBA); and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA).

3. Experience - our team has been in the buyers’ and sellers’ shoes. We bought, sold, and operated our own businesses. We worked in corporate M&A and have +255 years of combined business experience.

By investing time and money in education, certifications, and best practices, we have transacted businesses at a higher rate than our competition.

(more) Value is the key to any transaction whether it be selecting someone to sell your business or the person looking to buy your business.  Assuming you aren't an expert at valuing a business; marketing a business for sale confidentially; and surviving hurdles such as due diligence, financing and leasing; then why do you believe there isn't value in hiring someone to sell your business?  Find a business broker who is experienced selling your type of business, can show you they sell the majority of their listings, and have credentials from an accredited source, e.g., CBI from the IBBA.  Otherwise, be prepared to lose the perception of value from the person looking to buy your business as they won't likely trust your preparation vs. an independent party (broker), will worry about lack of confidentiality driving away key employees and customers, and will discount for the added work they need to put in to manage the contingency removals.

They are looking for either cheaper, better or different. Competitors often focus on only one of the three motivations. To position my services against the competition, I want to avoid a price war, so I attempt to connect on being better and different. Better can be demonstrated through a detailed review of the process. Different can be demonstrated through results and credentials. If you can't demonstrate you are better and different from your competition, you exclude yourself from the high-margin quality and brand conscious consumers and you are left battling for the low-margin price conscious consumers.

My response is, "What are you getting at that price? I might be willing to match their price if I don't offer you X, Y and Z as well; however, I don't believe you want or deserve cheaper service, do you?"
