I am a landscape artist, a published author, a senior bridge inspector and Nace international level 3 coatings inspector. I inspect bridges repairs and new construction. Between projects I write books and paint paintings.

I received the vaccine second shot in March. I don't see many people joy riding as before the lockdown. I still have business traffic, but minimal presently. Part of the slow traffic is because it has been over one year since I was holding a book signing or entered in an art exhibit. I did enter an art exhibit for the first time in a long time at the SKYPAC last month. The first one this year. I am looking forward to more in the near future.

I found that shut downs do noting for slowing the virus and large groups with no masks and a few infected people causing a spike in the rate which has been used by government to put more controls on people and bankrupt small business owners. Ask how, why and who allowed the virus to escape the lab, and then allow it to come around the world. I suspect it has been expelled airborne to infect so many people. I stay home unless it is necessary to go for groceries etc.
Most people that might have visited to spend the holiday will not be showing up due to the virus. I am not to travel to visit for the same reason.
I am still thankful for all my blessings from God.

I don't know your music plan. Do you intend to record them on CD and sell the music, making things a bit lucrative, to maybe pay the light bill. You could distribute fliers for planned activities or birthdays with masks and distancing widely advertised in the fliers.

A free concert where you can have the children attend with a lot of space as at a drive in or park. Take up tips, or gifted funds. It could lead to other plans or activities.

I have found that word of mouth has brought me a lot of business. I have a web site that is not as effective as word of mouth. I also do several art exhibits and book signings thru out each year. I realize there are so many books written each year and the supply of artists works are more than one can count. I try to get my name and past works to people to hopefully drive sales. I am also planning to start using certain art galleries to exhibit my paintings. I am always trying to find new ways to generate interest and sales.

I usually exhaust all my resources before I inquire answers from friends or most family members. If I know an owner of a similar business, I might inquire how he/she approaches certain issues. The old KISS approach works for me. The word is an acronym that stands for "Keep It Simple Stupid".

It is a republished book and I am using a publicist and different publisher than usual, to hopefully get the book notice in a big way. The novel is named "Strange Adventures" and the author is me, Ken Blanton. I am seeking out the best ways to market my publications presently.
