Sure, because there are times when a competitor will need someone to cover a job for them and vice versa. I like to think of them as colleagues rather than competitors. In this ever changing world, colleagues here also invaluable for advice on situations you have not encountered.

I prefer evening networking meetings because, as a freelancer, lunch meetings can take up to 3 hours out of the middle of your day which is too much productive time to loose.
