About Us

I'm a freelance IT tech. Everything from troubleshooting, networking, installations, and repairs. With over 25 years of experience, I guarantee results. Emergency service is available with a four hour response time, often less than two hours (schedule permitting). My rates are extremely competitive. I'm a Microsoft Certified System Engineer and a Cisco Certified Network Associate, as well as having numerous certifications from Dell, HP, Samsung, and other companies.

How We Got Started

As a full time musician, I worked with computers for fun, starting with DOS 2.0 in 1982. As time went by, I became the "go to" person when people had problems. I started accepting jobs from businesses and branching out from straight computer repair to installing and fixing printers, servers, cabling, networking, and telephony. I'm currently studying cyber-security.

I agree with the previous comments that confirm the unemployment benefits are lifesavers, NOT a problem. You can't afford to pay a living wage to employees?  Gee, that's too bad.  You're not competitive in the job market.   That's how capitalism works.   Nobody should have to work 40 hours a week and still need food stamps.   Think $300 or even $500 unemployment is fat money that lets you sit around and do nothing? Try living on it on long island.  Let me know how that works out for you. Stop blaming working people for not wanting to continue to take low paying, dead end thankless high stress jobs.  Many have been studying, improving, looking for decent work.  You can't find workers? look in the mirror.  There's your problem and there's your solution.

I'm just hoping we can hold on, and build something better from the ashes of what was.

Well, you've certainly got a lot of responses, ranging from "copyright it" to "just share it".  Watermarking all of your advertising graphics is a definite yes (there are free and low cost programs to do this.)  Copyrighting is an idea, but (as mentioned) you can't copyright an idea - or there... Most people know Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin.  But they don't know he spent ALL of the profits on lawsuits for patent infringement (look it up).  You don't mention what your business is, but if it's online you can do the following (some of which has been mentioned): - Contact all your vendors and customers, and let them know you are the "original".  Make a point that a business that steals is not a good business to work with.  Don't mention names, people will know what you're referring to. - If there is provable theft, contact the web host for that business and file a complaint.  Chances are, this person is doing other underhanded things. - As mentioned, inject yourself into the process.  YOU can't be duplicated.  We think of "Flo" as the face of Progressive Insurance.  Become an integral part of your business - If possible, see if you can blacklist the quote requests coming from his IP address or his account.  I don't know how you're set up, so you may want to ask your web host about this. - DEFINITELY send a "cease and desist" letter.  Crooks are generally not that bright.  It may be enough to scare him/her, and DEFINITELY follow up those letters if they don't stop.  They may think it's just not worth the hassle. Good luck, and I'm sorry you're dealing with this.  On the bright side, this person may not stay in business for long if they're that inept.

I used to follow Mark Twain's advice - when I got the urge to exercise, I laid down until it passed. But at a certain point, you really have to exercise. If I was in my 30s and my SO gave me gym membership (and I hadn't mentioned wanting one), I'd be a bit peeved. But as I'm going to be 60,... If I was in my 30s and my SO gave me gym membership (and I hadn't mentioned wanting one), I'd be a bit peeved. But as I'm going to be 60, and started exercising about five years ago, a free personal session would be welcome. BTW - I take Krav Maga now, started right after the 2016 election, and I've lost 15 pounds and actually have muscles. Who knew? Note that that's after four years of going to LA Fitness type places and making little headway.
