Don and Terri Opeka started Orion Mortgage in 1996. From the beginning, Orion Mortgage has been focused on customer satisfaction. The growing company was incorporated in Colorado on December 29, 1997. Our primary sources of business are repeat customers and referrals. We specialize in refinancing Colorado residential properties with both traditional mortgages and reverse mortgages.

(more) Reverse Mortgages are excellent solutions to a variety of situations.  True, they are not for everyone, but they should certainly be explored along with all of the other financial solutions being considered.  If someone has been educated on all of their options and makes the decision not to pursue a RM, that is an absolutely respectable decision.  Folks who reject this product simply based on their fear of it, rumors of what happened so their neighbor's best friend's great-aunt 20 years ago or because they don't want to take the time to gain a true understanding of the versatility of this product may be allowing their knee-jerk reactions to cause themselves more harm than good.  We have helped folks across the financial spectrum with Reverse Mortgages - from those already on Medicaid to others with millions in assets whose financial advisor, after crunching the numbers, explained that the Reverse Mortgage was the most inexpensive way to get spendable cash.  There are scores of people between those two financial extremes who could benefit greatly from a Reverse Mortgage.  The key is education, not only for the potential borrowers, but for their adult children as well.
