Blue Moon Acres Farm was started by Jim and Kathy Lyons in 1992 as a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm, growing a small array of vegetables and greens at the home farm in Buckingham, PA.
Now, twenty-eight years later, we are known as the premier supplier of micro greens to the top restaurants in New York and Philadelphia. We have grown to include numerous varieties of micro greens and Certified Organic specialty greens and produce in our greenhouses and fields in Buckingham and Pennington, NJ. We use only natural methods in our growing process– no chemical pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or growth regulators are employed.
2014 marked the first year of our Jersey-grown Certified Organic rice offering.
The premise now is the same as it was at the beginning: to grow good-quality food that is in accordance with regenerative agriculture practices.
We operate a market on our Buckingham farm every Tuesday and Friday from 9 AM to 3 PM which offers our micro greens and Certified Organic produce as well as our own NJ-grown, Certified Organic, freshly-husked rice. You can also find our Herbarium line of body products made with food-grade ingredients and our own herbs.
