Local Discussions What's happening in the Buckingham business community
Tomorrow is a snow day in my kid's school district. That means he'll be home on the computer playing games and maybe, just maybe playing in the snow (probably not, knowing him).
As a business owner these unplanned days can throw a wrench in my work day. How do you all handle these "unexpected" days?

What do you do when it's snowing out? Do you hunker down and get to work?Take the day? Go shovel?

Get to work. I live in a complex, so I don't handle snow, maintenance does.
Ihope everyone is staying safe with all this snow.
I've been out once to shovel and well that was dumb. LOL. It's still coming down.
The dog loves it tho!

The mindset I wish I had taken when my son was young would have been, "There are only a limited number of snow days when he is a kid. I'm going to join in and spend this fun time with him as much as he lets me."
There are always more work days. Always more work. Kids are only kids for a limited time. Reschedule meetings, push work to tomorrow, or after you build that snowman and your little one has settled into video games. I never regretted moments where I got to fully be a dad. I do wish I had stepped into more of those moments now that my little one is 24.
