Czappa's Studio

About Us

I make art work from found objects and do repairs on wood objects of all kinds. My work often includes kinetics and electronics as well. I can make custom wood work projects. I have written 15 books on several different subjects all available on eBay, Amazon or my web site.

How We Got Started

I started making art when I was 14, Through the years I opened a small electronic repair business that financed my work and also became my personal art gallery. After 35 years of that, I closed it and now work from my Burbank Studio now doing my own work and taking on commissioned work. I've continued writing and now have published 15 books. I was recently appointed a Fellow and advisor to the upcoming "Last Supper Museum" in Douglas Arizona who know own 6 of my sculptures. I also can publish your book on Amazon

I send a thank you letter with a funny short story and list of all the other things I do. Then a few times a year I send a newsletter with another short story, list of all the things I do and write about things pertinent to home electronics. I closed my electronic repair business when the minimum wage hit $10.50 an hour because there was no way to increase my repair charges. We were already struggling with the cost of new electronics (due to trade agreements that let cheap electronics from China) plummet. So not only did manufacturing jobs get killed but the repair industry also died. So business like mine that always had openings for training people will go under. You just can't afford to train people at $15.00.
