Hakuna Matata Vibes
Hakuna Matata Vibes started in 2021 with eco-friendly greeting cards and is expanding into a gift shop and business branding services to raise awareness about conservation. Within our first year of business, we were featured on the front page of the San Francisco Chronicle and secured a newspaper kiosk in downtown San Francisco. We sell wildlife-themed greeting cards, stickers, prints, and activity books online, at events, and on platforms such as Etsy and Towne. Hakuna Matata Vibes is a certified Green Business.
Our website offers customizable text options for the front and inside of the cards, with discounts available on sets of cards to help reduce our overall environmental impact. Business services include custom greeting cards with your business logo, social media information, and custom text.
Updates: Our Summer 2023 intern from San Francisco nonprofit New Door Ventures is currently designing an activity book on endangered species in the Bay Area. Our products are now being sold at the CuriOdyssey gift shop in San Mateo, with greeting card designs made exclusively for the local nonprofit science museum and zoo. You can also find our products at Art Space on the Coast in Pacifica, a local gallery, learning space, and pottery studio, that recently opened in June of 2023.
Our latest endeavor is to build an eco-lodge and become the eco-friendly version of the Hilton, with our products sold at gift shops within our eco-lodges. We hope to combine luxury, wildlife experiences, and a commitment to conservation, biodiversity, and sustainability. We want to inspire positive change, fostering a deep connection to nature and empowering guests to advocate for the environment. Through collaboration, we hope to protect habitats, promote biodiversity, and raise awareness for sustainable living. We believe everyone has a role in taking care of our world, including animals, the environment, and people. We actively seek partnerships and conversations in the following areas: conservation, endangered/ invasive species, aquaponics, biodiversity, sustainable building materials, sustainability, recycling, hospitality, and ecotourism.
"Heartfelt actions that warm the soul and protect the Earth."
Hakuna Matata Vibes is a Bay Area business born from resilience and fueled by passion. Despite facing adversity as a delivery driver during the pandemic, I turned a car accident into an opportunity to start my own business. Hakuna Matata Vibes grew from a childhood fascination with animal extinction and a deep concern for their well-being. My design inspiration comes from Milo, my pet pineapple green cheek conure, and is expanding to include all wildlife.
The pandemic deepened my understanding of the illegal wildlife trade, intensifying my commitment to raising awareness about wildlife conservation. Since fourth grade, when I first learned about wildlife extinction in the Amazon Rainforest, I vowed to make a difference, and this is where my journey begins..
