Barry Michael invites past and present patrons to come and feel the vibe and indulge in our Global Menu. The Menu focuses on innovation and is ever-evolving, using the finest from local farmers and artisanal producers. Tasting Menu available daily, offering six small courses paired with three glasses of wine. Our laid back atmosphere invites you to stop by for cocktails, drinks and appetizers or a decadent dining experience. We have problems hiring whenever we grow. It seems you have to interview a lot of people that don’t have the experience required.  Have a little faith, and the right candidate will step up. In a world of big box stores, and franchised, cookie cutter restaurants, it is refreshing to be able to customize someone’s dinner, to touch each diner’s table as the owner....A corporate store cannot do any of the above.  If you order an item on the menu in a franchise, that’s how it comes.  In... (more) In a world of big box stores, and franchised, cookie cutter restaurants, it is refreshing to be able to customize someone’s dinner, to touch each diner’s table as the owner....A corporate store cannot do any of the above.  If you order an item on the menu in a franchise, that’s how it comes.  In my restaurant, I can make something that is not on the menu (as long as I have the ingredients in house) or I can alter to suit.  I can talk to each person that comes, well maybe not each person on a busy night, but most, and make each patron feel special.

I love that you put “perceived or real”!  We answer the few negative reviews we get. Some you can tell are not real.  Regardless we never argue, and we make it right, usually inviting them back on us. Word of mouth, most definitely!  This cliche still holds true - “if someone loves their dining experience, they tell a few friends and co-workers in the neighbourhood, in the work staff room, etc.  If someone has a disappointing experience, they may as well take a front page ad in the paper!”.... I don’t ship food but was at UPS the other day and I saw a man come in to pick up a parcel. Went over to a fridge beside the rows of mailboxes, opened it, took out quite a large pkg and the frost was emanating from the pkg. That is one way to ship frozen chili! I think it’s a pretty empty barrel we’re all trying to pick from. Good people are hard to find. Gone are the days when serving was a skill, a trade. Now when school gets out in April, everyone wants a job and of course, they all have fine dining experience.  😂 (more) I think it’s a pretty empty barrel we’re all trying to pick from.
