Welcome to The Hockey Resource

We look forward to being champions for the advancement of our beloved sport.
Hockey, a sport that has captured the hearts of millions worldwide, goes beyond just being a game on ice. It fosters physical fitness, mental wellness, and community spirit. The success and growth of hockey would not be possible without the unwavering support of hockey companies and corporations that recognize the sport’s significance.

The Hockey Resource is a hockey company that promotes the benefits of hockey and the valuable role played by companies that support the sport while emphasizing the economic contributions and positive impact of corporate sponsorships.

Physical and Mental Health Benefits of Hockey:

Hockey is an exhilarating and physically demanding sport that offers immense health benefits for players of all ages. Research conducted by the National Institutes of Health highlights that hockey strengthens cardiovascular health enhances coordination and improves overall endurance. With its fast-paced nature and constant movement, hockey requires players to develop agility, balance, and strength, improving muscle tone and bone density.

Furthermore, hockey acts as a powerful stress reliever, boosting mental wellness. Engaging in regular physical activity, such as hockey, releases endorphins and reduces stress hormone levels, improving overall mental health. Studies have also shown that involvement in team sports like hockey enhances social connections and reduces feelings of loneliness and depression.

Economic Contributions by Hockey Companies:

Hockey companies have substantially contributed to the economy, generating employment opportunities and supporting local communities.

Hockey companies produce and distribute equipment, apparel, and accessories, creating jobs across various sectors. Furthermore, hosting hockey tournaments and events attract tourism, stimulates consumer spending, and bolsters local businesses, including hospitality, restaurants, and retail outlets near rinks and arenas.

Positive Impact of Corporate Sponsorships:

Corporate sponsorships have played a pivotal role in the growth and development of hockey by providing financial support to leagues, teams, and players. Companies recognize the power of aligning themselves with hockey, a sport with a passionate fan base and widespread international reach.

Hockey companies are indispensable champions in advocating for the sport's numerous benefits, driving its growth, and nurturing talent. Their economic contributions, innovative initiatives, and corporate sponsorships have transformed lives and communities. Through collaborative efforts, hockey companies and supportive corporations continue to inspire and uplift individuals, making hockey accessible to all and ensuring a bright future for the sport. So, lace up your skates and hit the ice to celebrate the extraordinary impact of hockey and the companies that support it.

How We Got Started

When we decided to operate a Spring Hockey program in 2009, we realized a complete lack of knowledge about protecting players in the off-season. We started the company to be the Hockey Resource for Management - Coaches and Parents.

I would take a low-level job with an NFL team and work my way up the ladder. Not much money in the beginning but fun and a passion of mine and the money would follow.   (more) I would take a low-level job with an NFL team and work my way up the ladder. On a Hockey Team, we owned we posted daily in-season because followers want to know what was happening with the team, as they are passionate about the sport and team. Our other business which is insurance for Spring Hockey Teams, Hockey Schools, Camps, Leagues, and Tournaments we post weekly and provide quality information on the business that helps people make decisions. Once again consistency is key.

The best by far is door hangers, people get home and see your door hanger they must remove it and they will read it. If you printed material gets bundled by the flyer service or maybe with the newspaper or have to find a way to stand out from the crowd. However, the key is that you must provide them knowledge on your business not be selling them all the time. If you use social media post expert articles not advertising so people are attracted by the information you provide. Also, you don't need to do your own posts, commenting on posts by others allows you to use their customer base. Let's say an expert in your field has 100,000 followers and you make an intelligent comment about a post they made, their followers will also see your thoughts.

As a single Entrepreneur, I try to get recharged by the day and not the week.  Get out of the house even rent a hotel room for the day with your spouse or significant other. It is amazing how getting away even for a day is awesome.  Do tours or classes that occupy your time and take your mind off work, my wife and I love wine tours? Maybe take a day at a SPA, etc.  My friend is a painter and takes one full day per week to paint which is completely relaxing for them.  Taking a complete day off is not really that hard, and you can get more of those than trying to take a week or more off at a time.  If you have young children they can be the best thing for you on a day off because they will keep you busy and not allow you to plug back into work. Being an entrepreneur often means there is no specific weekend time off like a person working in a corporation but make sure you get some designated days each week to be off.

The most important lesson is persistence and learning. Mistakes will happen, don't get down, learn from them and move on. With persistence, your goal is to make more successful decisions and less negative ones. Too many people expect to be perfect and that success will come quickly.
