Toks Agosu
Art First | Cushion Second
At Northwind Illustrations, I create artwork, limited-edition art cushions, and the Reading the Work framework.
Reading the Work helps artists identify recurring patterns and tendencies across their artwork so they can better understand what connects their work and communicate it more clearly.
I'm always interested in connecting with artists, educators, designers, and creative professionals.
I’ve shared more about my approach in a recent interview if you’re interested.
Northwind Illustrations was founded by Toks Agosu in 2019 during a period of significant personal loss and change. During that time, drawing became a way to process experience, make sense of uncertainty, and reconnect with purpose.
What began as a personal creative practice has grown into Northwind Illustrations, a studio creating artwork, limited-edition art cushions, and educational resources for artists.
Alongside my art practice, I developed Reading the Work, an observational framework that helps artists identify recurring patterns and tendencies across their artwork so they can better understand what connects their work and communicate it more clearly.
Whether through artwork, products, or educational resources, my focus is helping people see, experience, and understand art in a more thoughtful way.
