About Us
We are a kilnformed glass teaching studio that offers classes for beginners through to professional artists (imagery in glass, casting, pate de verre, fused glass). Amanda Taylor is an artist/teacher whose work focuses on sculptural, functional and architectural glasswork. We also sell Bullseye Glass products.
How We Got Started
Amanda Taylor is from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She has been teaching and creating her work in the US since 2007. Oatka Glass was established initially in Batavia, NY but in 2015 they purchased a property just south of Burnsville, NC and created the new studio that is housed in a 2600 sq ft hewn log structure. Amanda has been creating her work in the studio since 2016 and in 2019 started teaching workshops in the studio as well.
