Good is subjective. The key is to find a reputable, reliable tour company that meets your preferences, budget and needs. A travel agent that really gets to know their clients preferences and needs can connect you to tour guides/companies that best match you. Of course, you can search them out on your own. The risks with that are you may not be working with a reputable company, you may pay more than you would through a travel agent who has access to competitive prices based on their volume and finally, if things take a turn for the worse, you will have no one there to be your advocate or expert. I know when my brother in-law passed away, the hospice was so helpful to us and it made a difference.

That's a great question. I'm not sure I have the definitive answer but for me, I focus on my sphere of influence through personal connections, emails, social media. I also attend networking events and do my best to make a positive impression on my clients so they can spread the word.
