How We Got Started
After over two decades of working in various capacities as an in-house counsel for larger corporations, I wanted to bring my broad experience to smaller companies - particularly those who don't obtain the legal support they need because they feel they can't afford it.

Since I’m primarily a small business lawyer, I find that the biggest challenge for me is convincing potential clients that they need legal services in the first place as opposed to using a DIY approach - especially in risky areas like employment law and commercial transactions. Once past that...

Since I’m primarily a small business lawyer, I find that the biggest challenge for me is convincing potential clients that they need legal services in the first place as opposed to using a DIY approach - especially in risky areas like employment law and commercial transactions. Once past that hurdle, I work to provide quality service, build a long-term relationship and get referrals - but that’s by far the easy part.

Your state may have relevant guidelines, but you should check your employment contract first, which is where commission payment terms should be stated. If you don’t have a contract the check the company’s commission plan documents or policy. By law your contract or commission plan/policy cannot...
