I am very patriotic so to give back to our service members & first responders I offer a 10% off on a total of $30 or more. In addition, I also have discontinued fragrances to sell for both men and women.
I am also attached to the wedding wire and the knot.
How We Got Started
I became a foster parent in 2016 and was looking into on how to earn a little extra cash to help with the bills. I had checked out Avon and spoke with some representatives and made my decision by late December 2016 I decided to try Avon. I became a member in January of 2017. I am extremely happy and enjoy it. Even though I started in the Healthcare field my business and marketing skills are being used excessively well right now.

I believe I broke even in the 2019 fiscal year. I had a lot of expenses and deductions that really did not help offset the income. But this year even with the virus and shutdown, I am coming out a head then the previous year.

I came across a idea late Saturday night about having a virtual craft and vendor fair to raise money for the American Cancer Society that I joined. My team is called Team Avon Carrollwood. The idea is to get many of the small direct sales marketing businesses in the area and put on a virtual craft fair for the local area or get a bunch of vendors on social media to join in on the fun. It is a great networking idea not too also for a great cause. Another great idea is have a virtual trivia night with friends and family or with your customers. Heck you can even do it with friends and family instead of individuals. There are so many different ideas out in the marketplace because of the lockdown. All you need to do is think outside the box, and go from there.

But if I get any questions or requests from some of my now friends on Facebook, the first think I ask is where do they live. A lot of times their response is Vancouver or British Columbia. I contact my Avon Rep friend that lives over in that part of Canada and forward the contact information to them. Both representatives and customers are very happy. Plus I stay in contact with the customer should the need arises and they need something. Some of my goals are to help new customers or potential new customers by asking if they have any sensitivities to certain smells or allergies. As for measuring my networking efforts. I look to see what works by the numbers and what kind of leads comes out of it.
Even though I do have a account with LinkedIn, I don't rely on it for my business. I get more business from word of mouth and the advertising that I do than with that type of social media platform.

People who are independent contractor's with the majority Avon, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, etc., if you don't have a high enough return the lending institution does not have the time of day for you.

Plus it's foolish and ignorant to place blame on the White Administration. This virus will run its course the same way as H1N1, The Bird Flu, Influenza A & B, etc. It's a virus people, plain and simple. As with any virus protect yourself if you have underlying health problems.

I still earn commission either way. I would rather my customers be comfortable in their decisions for ordering than accidentally getting or giving covid-19 to someone or from someone. But I have also noticed that my new customers are old school sand prefer for me to deliver their purchases. So with my business it's a win-win.

I support all veterans doesn't matter what branch they served in. I respect them because they did go and join the service to protect this country and our borders, including our watery borders. My brother served in the Air Force during the first Gulf Wars and my brothers-in-laws served in the First Gulf Wars as well but in the Army. I have a lot of customers that are veterans and I ask if they would like to join me. I know of some veterans that are currently independent representatives and they thrive now with the challenges of owning their own business just like when they were serving our country. Being from a military family myself I apply what my late grandfather has always taught me. Besides having respect for others, be honest and forthright. Now he was a Marine in the 4th Division during WWII in the Pacific Theatre, he always stated that it was our turn to help acclimate the returning heroes. They did their jobs by protecting us now it was our job to either give back or encourage them on their next endeavors. I have many veteran clients/customers and on every order they receive a 10% discount or sometimes free promos of products that they always purchase.
