You need you to create a concentrated marketing campaign. Consistency is crucial here.
#1. Determine who exactly you want as new clients.
#2. Do a google search within an area you feel comfortable driving to....because you will have to show up at some point or at least hype the fact you are not that far away from them. Pick the ones that seem like they use print now and create a mailing list.
#3. Create a cool but targeted postcard with a hook to drive them to your website where they will find a deal for new clients. Be sure that your website has the deal and is built so that they can see the benefits of using you instead of the competition.
#4. Mail out your postcard once a month. And keep tract of who responds from that mailing. If no responses in 3 months change up the postcard and re-send.
#5. Create a monthly mailing (email) for your current clients that you can quickly add new clients to.
This is a start.....I have been where you are and you really can do a lot without leaving your seat. But you have to make sure you are consistent.
That would be our monthly email newsletter. We get at least a 35%-55% open rate on each one. I feel it is because they are a target audience and we provide links to monthly events, a monthly joke and we top it off with a discount of the month that they can only get with the newsletter. We also...

It starts with you. A self-realization of who you are and where your heart is. Heart-Based hiring has nothing to do with skills or money or benefits. It has to do with you feeling that atmosphere ahead of time. It has to do with you loving yourself more each day and becoming grateful for what you have in your life. It has to do with you believing that you deserve happiness. The path is never easy, but if you are willing to walk it and hire people from your heart you may end up surprising yourself.
I almost did not answer this until I saw that you have never had a problem with this before. Why worry about it now? Personally I feel too many people worry about things that have never happened up to the point where the worrying actually makes it happen. You have a proven business model with no...

I almost did not answer this until I saw that you have never had a problem with this before. Why worry about it now? Personally I feel too many people worry about things that have never happened up to the point where the worrying actually makes it happen. You have a proven business model with no issues. I would go into every venture with that in mind. Trust your instincts, they have worked well for you so far. Cameras and people watching over people create the very atmosphere that you are afraid of. Just my humble opinion.

I would give it a 8 out of 10. You can create a list of people who did not open your email and re-send it to them. Sometimes that email gets sent to people who have already opened it even though they are not on that second list. That is spammy. AND there is absolutely no support for the free...

I would give it a 8 out of 10. You can create a list of people who did not open your email and re-send it to them. Sometimes that email gets sent to people who have already opened it even though they are not on that second list. That is spammy. AND there is absolutely no support for the free version that can handle up to 200 people on the list. For that reason they get an 8 instead of a 10.
We use Mail Chimp. I love the stats and the fact that you can create a list of people that did not open the email. You can do A/B testing and much more.

2 things are at play here. #1 There are more blue collar entrepreneurs than ever before. #2 Since the late 1990's every Tom, Dick and Harry with a PC and Word have considered themselves a "Graphic Designer". Professional logos and branding are still just as important that ever, but the perceived...

Because someone can slap something together on their phone and their friends think it is cool, they run with it and come to guys like us to print it. No thought of audience appeal or marketing strategy, and when you mention it you get the "deer in the headlights stare". That I blame on the lack of business classes in public schools. When I was a freshman in High School I had mandatory accounting and business classes. You are right about the trend. Too bad because the same people that are ignoring how to do it are actually being sold products by others who do it correctly.

Someone Mentioned YouTube. What I think would be great is if you start doing video testimonials of your clients and then upload those to a YouTube Channel.

You have to be on your toes and your entire team must be on the same page. So many times people just quickly click emails and links without truly paying attention to what they are clicking. For instance, if a web page comes up (as a pop-up) I have seen a ton of people click inside that page to get rid of it. What they clicked on was a spam button. They should of just closed the window and move on. It is the same mentality with emails. Click, click, click....I have no time to read or think just click. I think training your team and making them responsible is crucial.
