Of course the truth is that just because an advertiser spent hundreds of thousands on producing a commercial doesn't mean it actually resulted in increased sales. We've all seen low budget local TV ads that were produced for a few thousand dollars that resonate more with us than some in the Super Bowl that we're actually the target for, but aren't relatable. I picture Super Bowl Advertising more like a trip to Vegas, sure you hear about that person that won big at slots but ultimately the house (league/network) always win.
