How We Got Started

Attended the Institute for Professional Organizers in 2009 and immediately joined the National Association of Professional Organizers. In 2012 I went back to the Institute for Professional Organizers and received my masters certificate. I sought to deepen my organizational skills and serve a group that has always been dear to me; the aging. With this I chose to join ICD and studied to gain my certificates in chronic disorganization and aging. After my daughter was diagnosed in 2015 with ADHD, subtype inattentive, it became my goal to get certified in working with adults with ADHD.

What do you do when your client, who has millions of dollars consistently pays his/her bills late ?

I would ask if this is a struggle that they have across the board of paying all their bills?  Often times it's not a money thing, but a priority thing.  Maybe they struggle staying on top of things that have to do with executive function and getting menial tasks (to them like bill paying,... (more) I would ask if this is a struggle that they have across the board of paying all their bills?  Often times it's not a money thing, but a priority thing.  Maybe they struggle staying on top of things that have to do with executive function and getting menial tasks (to them like bill paying, scheduling, picking up around the house, answering emails etc.  It is a.common thing in 75% of my clients. I do however agree with the late payment piece in a contract as it isnt excuseable for people to not make their payments on time.

Have strong, healthy boundaries, respect yourself and your time and you will find your clients (and anyone else for that matter) will follow suit.  Dont just cut them off, but be willing to offer solutions to their delima as there are other ways to help then to just rescue them and take away from... What would you do with your work week if you could delegate some work to an executive level Virtual Assistant?

I would be alot more productive with a clone than a virtual assistant.  I know each business is unique and many could use a virtual assistant that would be a huge benefit to them.  Unfortunately mine isnt one of them.
