I'm a fun, friendly, dependable, full service professional photographer/videographer located in Bainbridge/Chagrin Falls area serving individuals, families and businesses all over northeast Ohio. I have 17+ years experience capturing and preserving the people, places and things that you love in addition to the images/video/audio necessary for enhancing your business' marketing efforts. I specialize in utilizing studio lighting outdoors for portraits and collaborating with you to create timeless, high quality images to showcase the things you love and to promote your business and enhance sales. How We Got Started
I attended a local high school football game and sat in the stands about half way up for the best view. I quickly realized that the best seat wasn't in the stands but on the sidelines reminiscing my high school sports days. I couldn't be a cheerleader...a water boy...work the chains...or be a ball boy...but I could be like the guy with the camera who was all over the field with anyone questioning him. I bought a camera the following week, was admitted free to the following game (Media Pass) and had the gate to the field opened for me by 2 policemen while they continued to chat. Everything grew from there.

Hey Marcus...I, like everyone else, sometimes overlook "the blinding flash of the obvious" so you're in good company. As a suggestion, I created a spreadsheet that contains the name of the contact, company, phone, email, and last call/contact notes to refresh my brain. Then, I'll schedule a followup contact in my google calendar and refer to my notes when it's time to make another contact. I always ask other people who they know, too. It's a very small world when I say something like, "hey, who do you know who may know ____?" You don't ask, you don't get! I'm also involved in BNI so I get the opportunity to network through my respective chapter members and other chapter members I've met while visiting their group. Just a couple of ideas to toss into your "hopper" of suggestions. :-)

I love the phrase. "Winners worry about winning and Losers worry about Winners"!!!! I initially thought I'd want to be the worst on a winning team so I could learn how to achieve more from the people who are better than me. Kinda goes along with surrounding yourself with folks who are smarter...

Kinda goes along with surrounding yourself with folks who are smarter than you and also how we're the average intelligence of the 5 people we hang with most.
Then....I thought about my ass getting canned due to poor performance. Not good!
Hmmmmmm...my answer depends on the following question, "do I have the potential/desire/time to improve while learning from others on an excellent team OR does the team I'm the best performer still garner respect in my respective industry even though we're losing (and "losing needs to be defined, too).
I'm happy I'm self employed so I don't have to deal with these mind-blowing scenarios.

Take the pride in the person you are and keep contributing positively to your team, company....whomever and live a happy and well balanced life. If you let this moron's actions affect you, you'll become a different person; one your company and coworkers don't want you to become. Be the you you've been and plow ahead. Screw the folks who are ignorant and intolerant. Harsh? Nah...too many people are offended and outraged today and it's making a lot of folks weaker and less resilient than they could/should be. Leave HR out of it and handle it yourself by NOT behaving differently. Other coworkers will let the moron know he's an idiot by distancing themselves from him since he's not trustworthy. Hang in there...it'll get better! :-)

Then, have a very casual reply to whatever they say letting them know that you want to be considered for their next need. Being casual is key. Always give them an "out" by saying something like, "you may have a friend who helps you, but if not, I'd love to help you next time." I learned a long time ago that shy business people go out of business. Start practicing and begin implementing and watch how many people will be receptive.

I find it fun in a bizarre kind of way. I love being self employed and love learning and, with that being said, I love creating my own hope by always thinking, dreaming and talking to people looking to uncover opportunities. Read the book, "Who Moved My Cheese".....good luck!

Then begin the process of creating relationships and become known for donating gift certificates. Don't give away anything 100% free because you need to make some money whenever you work. I normally do a $50 gift cert off of a product with a low cost to me (prints, canvas, etc.). I try to always get paid for my time, though. Good luck.
