I have 2 recommendations. The first is to join a BNI networking group. If you are not familiar their website is www.bni.com. They meet weekly with the sole purpose of passing each other warm leads. You may also contact me and I would be happy to discuss with you further. In my opinion, your dollars are much better spent here than to buy leads. That being said, if you still want to purchase leads, the best place I found is parasol leads but I am not sure if they offer health insurance leads. www.parasolleads.com David Zicopula david@zicopulafinancial.com 763-592-9071

I believe it is heading in that direction. Unless something changes, I see catastrophic plans for most people with supplemental insurance (hospital plans, accident plans, critical care plans, etc.) filling in the gaps. Personally for me BNI (Business Network Internationl) has been the best source. Yes, it does cost some money but to me it's totally worth it. You build relationships, get warm introductions (most of the time), and it helps you grow personally and professionally. (more) I do not have a direct answer to your question but I can tell you the 3 most common mistakes I see small business owners making when it comes to offering benefits. 1) Jumping into health insurance too soon. Health insurance is a huge en devour these days. It can be a large strain on the business as the costs are high and they keep getting higher. When you start offering health insurance, you are at the mercy of the insurance companies and your benefits budget is not under your control, but the insurance companies. In other words, you don't get to decide (apart from choosing a different plan or carrier) how much to spend on benefits, the insurance company does because they control the rate increases. Also, offering health insurance when you did not before can actually hurt some of your employees more than help them. Depending on their family situation and income they may be eligible for government or state subsidies that go away once their employer offers health insurance. For instance, a single mom might have her health insurance 100% covered by the government (no monthly premiums) with a $0 deductible. The moment their employers offers health insurance, they are now responsible for their half of the premiums, which will be at least $100+ a month AND they now have some sort of a deductible in the event they need anything other than preventative care. 2) They offer and pay for products that the employees don't find valuable (which might be the mistake you are trying to help business owners avoid with your question/post). For instance, the business might be offering dental insurance and paying for it for everyone, but some may not be using it. 3) They don't offer anything because they don't think they can afford it. There are many options that can be offered that are either voluntary (employee paid if they choose to sign up) or completely free. Many local companies are willing to educate your employees over a lunch and learn and they don't charge anything to do it. Also, a local massage therapist for example, may be willing to come in and do free 5 min chair massages knowing that they will probably gain clients because of it.

One was Parasol Leads (www.parasolleads.com) and the quality of leads were pretty good. I set a number of appointments with them and the ones that I didn't, still all seemed legit. The second one I used was crap...I think it was AllWebLeads but I am not 100% possitive. They sent me lots of leads but they seemed to be bogus...the info was bad or they said they never requested quotes. Their policy was that they would credit you new leads for any bad ones (bad info) but when they replace crap leads with more crap leads it was not helpful. I ended up disputing their charges through my credit card company and they credited them but then the website came after me and threatened to sue me so I settled with them out of court.
