If you do not have the time to do the social thing in groups and on various platforms, would you rather pay someone to do it for you or just do it yourself for advertising and marketing?

What I am saying is this: If you do not have time to do the social networking thing, pay someone to do it for you is what I am saying. Thank you. David Snell for Executive Restoration. www.ExecutiveRestoration.com

Maury said it well. Too many businesses talk about themselves rather than focusing on the needs of it's prospects and clients, regardless of the channel.
Time is a valuable commodity. Business owners should focus on what they do best. A good marketing partner will not only help your business find it's voice, but work with you to ensure that your voice is heard.
This doesn't mean they'll close deals for you, but they'll make sure that your company is involved in the conversation before decision time.
This is what I do for sometimes for companies.
