I have had time to figure out how much of the art I create is me and how much is what I think "me" should be; hence, my direction is starting to change. All this time has helped me to understand which projects are exciting and which are joyless. An artist has to be enthusiastic about what they are doing if it is to have life. And so my bucket has been emptied of the desire to please others and filled with the desire to please me.

Start by doing a search online. Then look at each gallery’s website to see: (1) do they show the kind of work that you do, (2) where are their artists from and (3) do they have any info on the website regarding how to submit work to them. If they do not show work similar to yours, cross them off...

Start by doing a search online. Then look at each gallery’s website to see: (1) do they show the kind of work that you do, (2) where are their artists from and (3) do they have any info on the website regarding how to submit work to them. If they do not show work similar to yours, cross them off your list. If their artist are only from some other country or only the particular city in which they are located, unless you are from those locations, cross them off your list. If they have info on how to submit work, follow it in every aspect. If not, send them a short, professional letter introducing yourself and asking how to submit. If you have a web page, be sure to have that address and all contact info in your letter. Give them a few weeks to answer. Feel free to visit the gallery multiple times to see if you were correct about their identity and to familiarize yourself with the atmosphere. If they have receptions you should attend them and talk to various people. If you are in the gallery when it is not busy, this is your opportunity to talk to the person works no. Start out with casual conversation regarding the artwork. And then ask how artists are chosen for the gallery.
Yes, it’s s lot of work but any other way is s waste of time.

I have a friend that does freelance blogs. Her price depends on length and amount of research time required. Usually around $100 - $160 for about 500 - 800 words or ten to twenty cents per word. Price would be discussed and agreed upon in advance.

Never. What would be the point? There is no way to know who will buy what when it comes to creative product. I can only do my best work when I am being authentically me.

When children are introduced to the pleasure of reading at an early age and encouraged in their reading skills, they will love books and reading.

To me it is not the support that is of importance but rather the image. The image has to be something that touches me in some manner whether it is the subject, the color, the feel, the beauty or something else.
