"Joel is an amazing entrepreneur and networker, who never strays from his high ethical standards for self gain. His word is his bond. If asked, how he was able to make something happen when it seemed the odds were against him, his response is, "I'm Joel" with a confident but yet humble smile on his face. In summary, Joel is liked by everyone that truly gets to know him because he is authentic, therefore a great connector of people. I often say, "Authenticity is the great connector."

Results Coaching That Works
I'm The Results Coach and do not work with average people. My greatest asset is my innate ability to connect with an individual. My rural upbringing in an agrarian southern community along with sales and management experience with a Fortune Fifty Electrical Manufacturing Company coupled with many years of entrepreneurship, leading hundreds of people, provide me with a wealth of experience that I draw from. This experience is what allows me to connect with individuals with varied backgrounds. My coaching clients consists of business owners, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, and high achieving professional sales people. I screen potential coaching clients much closer than most coaches because experience has taught me that many individuals think they are ready for coaching but they aren't. I've have said to potential clients with their checkbook and pen ready to make their first monthly or quarterly payment in six or twelve month contract, " I'm sorry but I don't think I'm a good fit for you at this time. I suggest that you wait a while or I will be glad to refer you to another good coach". Those people are often looking for the magic bullet and aren't willing to roll up their sleeves and do what is necessary to get their desired results. I call these people dreamers that don't want to get their hands dirty. I'm The Results Coach. I only coach people that I determine are really ready to make positive changes in their results. A person without a dream or goal their friends would laugh at is not a good potential client for me. My clients stretch and do what others aren't willing to do. Want to know my secret for Results Coaching? It's very simple. My goal, for my carefully screened clients, is to make each of them comfortable being uncomfortable and me holding them accountable for actions they will take to achieve Great BIG Goals they set. That makes me not a fit for average people.
When you meet a representative of a company, ask questions about them and their company. Make the conversation about them, not you. Establish a relationship up front that will lead to a long term profitable relationship.

Do something to make your company stand out. Study your competition and determine their strengths and weaknesses. Never be critical of a competitor but if you know a weakness boast to your potential and regular customers what makes your product or service stand out without mentioning the competitors name. Maybe you have a longer warranty. Maybe you offer phone support at no charge. Cover them up with before and... after sell service. First cost is not always to total cost. Reliability, customer service and an understanding and smiling voice on the other end of the phone makes a huge difference. People can't see you on a phone call unless you are on Skype of FaceTime but rest assured they know if you are smiling or frowning. The voice tells it all. A smiling person can diffuse a negative conversation with practice.
