A carefully targeted stimulus for businesses driven to the brink of extinction by the COVID-19 shutdowns I would support as these businesses were directly damaged by the State.
I would not support the type of all encompassing package proposed by the Democrats to bail out profligate States whose problems date back decades. The citizenry of better run States should not be forced to bail out California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, etc.
Our company was definitely hurt by the COVID-19 shutdowns, and we did benefit from the PPP program. It allowed us to stay open and keep our employees working.

Is Wearing a Mask Too Much to Ask? Yes, yes it is, if it's mandated by government. If a local business chooses to require masks, for whatever reason, that's OK. If individuals choose to wear masks, that's OK, too, but we shouldn't be supporting mandated masks because it is a matter of liberty and social conditioning more than it is a matter of public health.
At the outset, the public accepted restrictions as we didn't know much about the virus and it was being reported as very deadly. The reasoning was wear a mask to slow the spread and prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. That happened. Hospitals weren't overwhelmed, and in fact we caused many great financial distress by limiting the services they were allowed to provide. As the weeks went by, the restrictions worsened, heavily favoring big business over local business. Is visiting a local businesses more dangerous than shopping at Wal-Mart?
The United States has never behaved this way in the past, ever, and we can't continue to cower in fear while our businesses and society crumble. We now know a number of things we didn't in the past. The virus can be deadly to the elderly and those with compromised breathing and some other pre-existing conditions. For the rest of the population, the threat is not particularly severe, and for the young, it's less dangerous than the seasonal flu. Protect those most at risk, and for the rest of us get back to work and back to normal. Yes, we should be washing our hands more frequently than many of us do, and we should be cognizant of touching our faces and eyes, just as we should during flu season.
The media continues to focus on infection rates which have increased in certain areas, but this is not the metric we should be considering. We should be considering mortality rates which have been steadily dropping. Infection rates have risen both due to increased testing which also identifies those who had the virus and recovered or have the virus without symptoms, and behaviors (think rioting). The virus has relatively low transmission rates due to surface contact and casual contact. Prolonged and intimate contact (think riots) are much more likely to result in transmission than going to the grocery store or eating a meal, or working in most environs.
We have to get past the fear and get back to normal. We may never have a vaccine, certainly not one that is 100% effective, but at some point we will reach herd immunity. Slowing the spread only prolongs reaching that point. Let's protect those most at risk and move on with life.

Some positions lend themselves to working remotely more than others, but for the overwhelming number of positions, there is a loss of productivity when working remotely. This may relate to distractions, it may be lack of access to physical resources, or inability to effectively collaborate with co-workers. While it's better than not being able to work, I find it's far from ideal for most.

In my experience it works best if your email provides value for your customers, and you don't over do it. Answer a technical question, showcase a new product or service, provide a discount code, etc. If you serve different markets, target your email to those specific markets rather than blanketing your entire customer base with a message that will only resonate with a portion of it.
In addition to commercial products, if you have a little tech savvy, you can setup your own email server with a product like "Mailster". It provides great analysis tools so you can see what works and what doesn't. Whichever service you use, be sure to make it simple for your customers to opt out. Over time, you'll build a list that works.

It takes time to become comfortable doing what doesn't come naturally, but here are a couple of tips that have helped me over the years.
First, when making cold calls, remember you didn't know the person before calling, and if things go badly, learn what you can and move forward, nothing lost. You're not likely to ever cross paths, again.
Second, as an introvert, there's often a concern that you don't know enough about the product or service. If you do your homework before calling, in all likelihood, you're going to know more than the person you're calling, and if you don't, there's no harm in saying, "I don't know, but I'll find out."
Last tip. With time, you'll develop a feel for potential customers at the outset. There will be individuals with whom you are comfortable, and others that don't mesh with your personality. Pursue relationships that work for both sides, and cast off the ones that don't.
It really depends on the type of service and the industry. Design cost is necessarily included in the product cost either directly or indirectly. Impossible to answer the question without knowing more details.

I think you have to evaluate your prospective customers, what their expectations are, and how they learn about new products. In certain markets trade shows still make sense, but for others, they can be a waste of resources. The internet has changed the way we learn about new products and a good website and email marketing campaign can, for most companies, reach far more prospects than a trade show. Trade shows have become more about branding and entertaining existing customers than gaining new ones. The days of the trade show and industrial director are waning, in my view.
We've done them in the past, but my evolving opinion is they're not useful, and can be harmful. To be effective, marketing email needs to convey value. I think a better place to make holiday announcements is on your company's website or social medial pages.

Surprisingly good resources are Craigslist and Facebook. Facebook will allow you to target the listing to a certain distance from your location which is helpful. Craigslist ads are inexpensive and target your local community as well.
