In 2011 I started doing weddings, which to me, is better than a New Years Eve party. So I sent out thank you cards and i would write a short message of how special the wedding was. I sent out 43, and got 43 returns, and most of them included a piece of the wedding dress, Gift card, left over invitation, Picture of where they displayed the card we sent, 9 referrals for someone else wedding, or a note of thanks. For 2016, not including family, I sent out over 300 Cards, and got back at least 300. I have 36 referrals from the cards for weddings this year. The sad thing for me, we no longer live in South Carolina, now we live in Massachusetts. This year will be interesting.

I think it depends on what you want. We want the world to be one family. So in our wedding business we accept everyone as family. If we know somebody who can offer a better price or quality, we let. Most of the older generation wants face to face. They want to see it with their own eyes, and maybe touch it, and latter they may be willing to get information online. The younger generation wants to avoid the face to face. They prefer to check it online, then when ready for more would seek the face to face.. As to keeping the appt, we set a date, or arrange a meeting. We ask the best day and time to call. If they are willing we get an address. We mail a form with info about us, address, phone and how to find us. We offer a bonus that was not in the call. On this form we list their appt, what it is for, and who it is with. One week before the appt we call to let them know we are personally interested in this meeting. At least 3 hours before the meeting we call to see if they have the form for the meeting and let them. Know how to identify us. For me it is a short white chubby guy with full beard and what I am wearing

I think all contact is great However nothing is better than face to face. Taking the time for a face to face is saying you are worth my time. When you offer something they need, I think they seeit in you best face to face. Also about a third of the the clients I sent Cards to, said it was the only card they got for Christmas.

I think Thump Tack is great. I have got about a hundred Clients per year from them. I am one man so I am very selective in who I offer service to. A Mentor is more than someone who knows how to do something. They are a person who has done it in the real world and have things that make it better. For example: You get a kit with instructions. You follow the directions correctly and you will build it perfect. However a Mentor could show it is best to do one part first. Or perhaps adding a washer or lock nut to a section may work better, or prevent a possible problem. Here is a test. Take a hard boiled Egg, place it on a flat surface Now, make it stand up on end with nothing touching it but the flat service. Contact me with any questions.
