I think we have more Mentors now than ever, although many my not know they are Mentors. We have many books, materials and schools to teach you anything. A Mentor is more than someone who knows how to do something. They are a person who has done it in the real world and have things that make it better. For example:

You get a kit with instructions. You follow the directions correctly and you will build it perfect. However a Mentor could show it is best to do one part first. Or perhaps adding a washer or lock nut to a section may work better, or prevent a possible problem.

Here is a test.

Take a hard boiled Egg,

place it on a flat surface

Now, make it stand up on end with nothing touching it but the flat service.
