I like most of the answers that I see. However; it is not the “stores” that we missed. It is the service that they provided. (more) I like most of the answers that I see. However; it is not the “stores” that we missed. It is the service that they provided. We missed small stores or neighborhoods stores because they were run by people who had passion, people who knew you and your needs. We as customers we love to go to places where everyone knows your name like the tv show “Cheers”. For these people that was their living. They will make you feel at home. I have seeing many training manuals for companies and they claim that their philosophy is provide “great” customer service but when it comes down it is meeting your labor cost otherwise you will be replace. A good example is Starbucks, they have a great philosophy that Schultz created and inspired a couple of books but when you visited the stores you just become a latte, an americano etc.   In conclusion, it is not the stores, prices that we missed from our neighborhood store that is no longer with us. It is the hospitality that we missed because they always makes feel like somebody not just a dollar sign in our front head. We trusted them because they had knowledge and they make you feel like family.

It is about making the customer to trust you, to build the relationship that cannot find it anywhere and create the long term trust.  Many business think that giving discounts will bring customers into their business only creates a quick sale. I like to build long term relationships.  My customers need to understand that trust has to be create it. As a leader I am always there for my customer And together we will create the foundation that will get us to hard times and good times.  We need to care for our customers and lol at them as people who need our help not just a sale.
