I am afraid i can't restrict it to one business since I have been around so long and I have witnessed the demise of all the river towns around Pittsburgh. Since I am a lifelong resident of my hometown it has to be a mans store called Cmaradas because the quality of their clothes was right up there with all the high fashion stores from New York to Los Angeles. It was like a domino effect as they fell one by one, our local ice cream store, our movie theaters(3 to 5) and all the car dealerships for every car manufactured in the USA except for Cadillac which could be ordered from the local chevy dealer. I could go on and on , but I will end with one of the towns corner stores where we grew up with sodas and juke box.

I have tried them all, newspaper, radio, flyers,talk to members of local chambers of commerce and other organizations for the last 40+ years. At first I thought they were just sitting on their hands and couldn't or wouldn't pick up the telephone to even ask me for FREE quote for whatever I was promoting at the time. But, unfortunately I have finally discovered they were sitting on their brains and they didn't have the cognitive ability to even ASK(Always Seek Knowledge)for themselves and instead they just plod along waiting for some else to figure it out for them. Therefore, the only and always will be the only answer to a solution to the situation they are seeking is STILL Face To Face or as we say in the business, Knee To Knee anywhere, any time.
Since I am a multi-licensed insurance agent I have 5 arrows in my quiver, so i look outside of what I usually rely on as all things go in cycles, therefore I start calling, advertising on the radio(remember that communication device) on stations that have my demographic in mind.

I would probably say No since they cater or attract people or businesses prone to be more socially oriented than looking for specific need attainment. I would suggest getting involved with a university or college that sponsors seminars on how to do business with federal government contractors

No, every organization I have ever belonged to over the last 50 plus years has missed and never recognized why they were together to this day that they should have been there to help each other, not for our own selfish reasons but to find people and small businesses that were joining to say I have a service or product that you may need or can help you satisfy yours or your employees immediate needs to protect them from their everyday risks and exposures they aren't even aware of now. If you don't ASK, Always Seek Knowledge it will always pass you by.
I still read a daily newspaper because it is still the only media vehicle that gives me the local news from a hands on perspective. I of course look for articles relevant to my business, not only individuals, but small businesses especially since they are still being under served by most sales...

I still read a daily newspaper because it is still the only media vehicle that gives me the local news from a hands on perspective. I of course look for articles relevant to my business, not only individuals, but small businesses especially since they are still being under served by most sales forces. I also read as many periodicals i can scan as I am a relatively fast and comprehensive reader of all facets of life. The most interesting thing was my birthday and especially the nice recognition by family and friends.
