About Us

In 1970, I entered the insurance profession with Mutual of New York. A little over 2 years later I was asked to join the S/W Ohio marketing, sales, and management team of the Travelers Insurance. In 1975 I established my first independent agency. That led to several higher level corporate marketing roll, in which I finally had charge of production for the entire state of Ohio. For over 13 years, I served as the Vice-President of Englewood Insurance Agency. I sold that business in May, 2020 to re-vitalize Walter L Harrison Insurance, going full circle to the life, health, estate planning, and employee benefits area of my primary interest for the last 50 years.

How We Got Started

Initially, my primary concentration was focused on life, insurance and disability income sales working with new graduates and masters degree candidates from U.D. and Wright State who were entering medical or legal practices. That led to a greater level of estate planning, advanced business levels insurance. I committed my own studies to achieve the CSA designation of a Certified Senior Advisor. I now also concentrate with a great deal of Medicare Advantage, and Medicare Supplement sales activity as a part of my professional endeavors.

I offer whatever is needed to solve my customer's insurance needs, relieve worries, and satisfy concerns.  I am a professional problem solver, not a product salesman. As a precaution, before you have the contractor begin work, consult the Better Business Bureau for any support, or caution that the BBB may have on file.

The road is long. Bring along plenty of energy and patience to deal with many changes along life's path, and that of your business. Remember, be patient with yourself, your aspirations and the  people you meet along the journey. Smile, and laugh whenever possible. (more) The road is long. (more) Human safety is far more important than all the stuff (valuables, treasures, and/or junk) that we collect as individuals, families, or businesses. Decide ahead of time whether you would rather carry the burden of responsibility to personally and financially secure your property out of your own pocket, or transfer the risk and responsibility to your insurance company.  Remember...There is a cost for doing what prudent by paying for adequate insuranceace. There could also   be a serious cost for not buying proper insurance.  You could make a small mistake by paying for insurance, and a frightful event not taking place. A large cost would usually occur when people do not have adequate insurance.  The choice is your. Which would you prefer to live with?
