Branding is different from marketing in that branding is establishing an image. The most common approach branding is frequency with advertising. Like Tylenol is to pain reliever or Ben Gay is to muscle sourness. Branding your product is exposure to the public and with a good image support. Like Men's Warehouse "we guarantee it" or Capitol One "what's in your wallet. With that said branding your product is exposing your company to many and with a frequency that keeps your company in the front running whenever a potential customer makes a decision to use you. To do that, you need to analyze your market to see: when are the peak buying times? Know the demographics with who is buying your project. Know your competitors. and pricing as well. last but not least is targeting and testing different approaches and wording. Learn what your competition does and use it for an outline. There are more tricks and techniques to do but this forum is limited.

SEO is a funny animal. What worked 2 years ago is totally nonexistent today. Stuffing your website with popular keywords can be a negative when regarding search engines. Today what gets you noticed with Google is content structure and blogging using dynamic wording and information filled with great value. This is just for starters. Then comes video usage and how to do instructions. The customer funnel is going a way in that customers are demanding not only product but what value your product is going to give to them.
I work daily to manage our company's SEO the key is not to fall for the phrase "I will get you on first page with Google." That in itself is easy. But the true objective is to get on the first page and stay there. Ah, that is a quest most novice SEO workers cannot do. First of all the gadgets such as pens, stones etc. have a very low conversion rate. Tee shirts have some, but all in all, ask your self have you ever bought something from a pen advertisement? If the answer is no you fit the base for all crowds.
For counselors, I would recommend that you do seminars, write an e-book and blog with authority. A website is a must and a Face Book page as well. These are just for starters. Have business cards and go to events for positive Christian themes and talk to people and present cards. Christian counseling is a specialty service and it is lead by the Lord. I would pray daily for God's guidance and then act on what he tells you. If you want my help, I am always here to help fellow Christians to spread His word. We are to Labor in His message and He will pay us abundantly in His blessings.

Internet Marketing is more than using blogs, content material. I know there are rules and those rules are proven throughout time. However, the concept is getting old and most customers are getting numb to the words Free, Cheap and discount. They want information and that information needs to be accurate so, when your customer receives it, they can rely on it.
With that said, I want to say communication is the core of anything you do with your website. Keep in mind you must have inbound attraction as well as a call to action.
Having a low bounce rate will strengthen your appearance in search engines. Therefore videos such as whiteboard videos can act as a blog post and keep your customer coming back. On my website, I have "how to in Windows 10" which customers stay on my site and they need to comeback to further their information.
The problems with Internet Marketing
Most companies struggle with the blog idea because they do not have time to keep content new and exciting. Either they don't know how to write well or they are too new to do it properly.
Marketing is a science and precise monitoring to evaluate and promote your business. Most if not all, small business owners do not know how to do marketing with success. Not to say they are stupid, but to say owners have too much to do to dedicate hours for marketing.
Pains of Marketing
The most common pain with market for business owners is, you get different information and theories from experienced consultants. Finding a true marketer is extremely difficult.
The other pain is expense associated with hiring a company to market your business. They don't consult without tagging a high price to it. I know companies who pay as much as $25,000 a year and get nothing in return.
Also, the "we can get you #no.1 on Google" companies are killing the marketing industries. The issue with the first in Google approach is they may get you there but that is not what you want you need to stay there as you grow. These companies do not guarantee that.
