I’m still shocked how many people in small business have the most basic firewall provided by their ISP and still have the default password in use. A good start is something like a Sonicwall TZ series with additional protection services. To find out more visit https://aspentech.net

Yes, have hired from a recruiter. The Pro's generally are that candidates are vetted a bit better up front - and I can specify very specific skill requirements..
The cons are that recruiters make more money than the average straight hire process, and some projects seem to extend or meet a minimum billable hours, (although many firms are more flexible in this area recently)
I have experienced both good and bad with recruiters (and candidates) but the pros out-weigh the cons from my perspective.
Bottom line, know your skill requirements well, know the scope of the project even better and you will have success. Yes, you may pay a bit more per hour, but if you're careful in selection process, you get what you pay for.
Understanding the problems to be solved (what you have to offer) is key. Listening, not selling is critical in a first meeting.
