 While It seems the internet is everything. In reality it is very impersonal. Join service groups in your area: Rotary, Kiwanis, lions etc. That way you will meet people who know people who could use your services. Also look for a local BNI group. You are allowed to visit each group 2 times before you must join. You can also let it be known you will substitute for existing members when they are out. Now they will restrict how many times you can be a substitute in each chapter. If you are in a good area there should be many groups within an hours drive. Learn  to give   before you receive.
