Unless you or your board members have direct connections to companies or individuals who can donate items that would draw people to your auction, I'd consider another fundraising option.  If you choose to have an auction, consider where your attendees will be drawn from and how many big spenders you can expect.  At successful charity auctions, most items sell at above retail value to people who are there with contributing to your cause/organization in mind.  If these...
