Sadly they have been taught this amorphous idea of a cloud "structure" (Does a cloud have "structure")... Considering that 99% of what I do is "in" the "cloud"; they don't even know it exists. (But then do few X'ers or Boomers) It is not taught. You can't get a degree in a college. Etc.  So in... Everyone is a potential client, all need connectivity to the "world", no need to differentiate on any basis other than; who, what, and how big is the gig? Knox

As I have stated before, 'Good Ol' Boy network in play in my world. Maintaining my physical presence there would have had many benefits!... But life IS NOT about regrets {we all f**k up occasionally :) - This was a tad spendy, but no going back... }; constantly learn from what ya do right, what ya do wrong, adjust; CONTINUE TO MARCH!  Peace Knox

As well as; "What you are selling." Once you have a handle on your topology, need to figure the best way to penetrate your audience. As your methodology will necessarily vary, I can't give you an answer as it is wholly dependent on where you are and what you are selling. There is NO BETTER way then to build 'word of mouth recognition'. Get your existing customers to do it for you; if you get my drift! Be known as a VAR [Value Added Reseller] that truly provides value! Joining your local Rotary Club is always an outstanding way to meet and greet other business people in your community; as well as do some good. Other local organizations can be advantageous as well. Have an open house BBQ, invite current customers and provide a ticket for them to bring a friend or the like... Peace Knox Hopefully this is of some value...

Nothing would be transported without us, but we are a very small niche (somewhat incentuous, good 'ol boy network). A client will come to me based on need (Generally based on word of mouth or previous interaction.) We also do RFQ's, RFP's, and bid projects. The closest I come to advertising is letting the world know OCW exists via (Alignable, Linked In, Twitter, Opportunity...). Depends on your sector... What are you selling or do you seek "Brand Recognition"? Are you nationwide? Who is your client base... One needs to decide if advertising, of any type, is going to be a VAR for their gig. Will $.$$ outlaid  boost revenue!?! --- I would do an analytical review using your biz model to plug in the variables, and see what you come up with. VAR??? Even a simple Pro/Con analysis would be of value. --- Will Social Media marketing enhance my customer base? Will I reach potential clients? How many? Cost of adverts? (Not forgetting ad copy/ content overhead.) --- Speaking of analytics, should one decide to utilize SM Marketing; must ensure that these numbers are watched with great interest [compare with any change in revenue stream]...  :) Knox
