Hello Margaret,
My name is Michelle O'Neal, I'm the brand specialist for an Amazon marketing firm, WishingUWell.
We are out of Colorado Springs but have been a platinum seller on Amazon for over 8 years. We help launch new brands by building their product listing and help established brands regain control on Amazon when third party sellers start doing their own thing with your products. We do not have a set way of business, we tailor needs to each individual brand we work with.
Just like everyone below seems to think, yes you can do it yourself. But to be honest, it takes a team. I can't tell you how many companies we have partnered with big & small, after they have attempted Amazon on their own. Can you imagine running a retail store solely by yourself?
If you are going to sell on Amazon, find a seller who has the same morals and standards as your company. We are family owned and operated, health and wellness is our driving force. Our more personalized transparent approach has built trust with several major brands now.
If you are curious how much we charge to build your listings, please feel free to email me at Michelle@wishinguwell.
I say good luck if you can do it yourself, but I also believe there are companies like ours out there who are tired of Amazon talking advantage of brands and what their business.

The first thing I tell brands, stop selling directly to Amazon, find a third party seller! Amazon charges fees that companies don't even know about. (I have a list) The biggest disadvantage is how heavy your product is for Amazon specifically, they love to charge extra for weight as well as all the other fees.
Our Company, like many others out there, build product listings to generate consumers, boost conversions and our team manages Seller Central Accounts. -It literally takes a team!
Amazon really skims off the top of companies when you sell direct to them, there's companies out there like ours that have been in partnerships for years handling brands Amazon accounts.
Just some insight from a woman who loves going up against Amazon but also has to work on the platform!
Social media, website, then go to LinkedIn. Also, check out Clutch.com, it's a B2B ratings and review service.

I would say collect their emails and send out a survey asking them what they liked about your services or if they'd return. Also, offering a discount code after their first visit is a great way to have them interested in coming back.

On Amazon, most people prefer videos. I suggest doing an "unboxing" video—this shows the product as it would be when it arrives and then explain the product identifiers that make it unique.

And adjust your expectations. Nothing in life is free. Period.
I would say the easiest answer is advertising through LinkedIn.

Are you doing any social media ads? Instagram is especially important for any type of e-commerce. I would push people to your website through social ads and provide a discount. That might help them convert!

Honestly, we have a variety of ways of engaging new customers. First and foremost, our website. We just built a new, and not to toot our team's horn, but it looks phenomenal. We're also trying to drive traffic there from our social media sites including LinkedIn. I've found that lots of research...

Honestly, we have a variety of ways of engaging new customers. First and foremost, our website. We just built a new, and not to toot our team's horn, but it looks phenomenal. We're also trying to drive traffic there from our social media sites including LinkedIn. I've found that lots of research and "cold call" emails have been pretty successful. It takes a lot more effort, but I've made a lot of contact with clients. Once our website SEO is done, we will start working on our blog and landing pages. Those are great ways to drive in additional traffic. Did I mention advertising? That's important too. Think Google Ads, etc.
