"Scheduled for a yoni steam and got an experience with April. I've gone to others for a yoni steam but this particular one is made for your personal needs. You get to unwind and mediate, just sit for a period of time and talk about anything you need to get off your chest. "

We know the strengths and weaknesses of our practice. For example, while as a team, we have experience with "pain", that is NOT our strong suit or the foundation on which we have built this practice. So our two cardinal rules for referrals are:
1) Stay in our lane. Reproductive medicine and complex women's health challenges is OUR lane. After an evaluation, if we can't genuinely facilitate healing, then we refer to an external entity/partner. Keeping a patient/client with whom we can't do our best work robs them (and us) of the healing experience. If we can't, then we know someone who can. The goal is to get the patient/client connected to the best resource and sometimes, that's not us.
2) On the flipside, we also do not pass on "problematic clientele" (chronic late arrivals, chronic same-day cancellations, disrespectful, etc.) to our referral network. Not a good look and it doesn't bid well on either end of the equation.
We abide by these "rules" and so far so good!

Health and wellness practitioners struggle with self-care, too, primarily BECAUSE our jobs entail taking care of others.
Together as a team, we make a conscious effort to build health and wellness into our daily work schedule even when there's no official program. We all have different needs, some emotional, some physical, and some spiritual. We're blessed to be a team that can address each one of those needs for our patients and for one another.

An an integrative women's health and reproductive medicine provider, we suggest it all the time as this is our approach to health and wellness... seamlessly marrying the two treatment modalities. We also shy away from "alternative" as it frames the conversation in a way that pits one against the other and subtly suggesting that one is better than the other. In today's world of health and wellness, BOTH modalities have their respective strengths and BOTH are needed in equal measure when aiming for optimal health. What better place than all under one roof working together synergistically.
While we probably won't feel the effects until a year from now, I believe the foundation for a recession has already been laid.
