How We Got Started

After working 18 years in the banking industry, I had a solid career in the financial industry as a Vice President Business Banker until the market crash of 2008. I worked specifically with business owners providing capital and financial advise to help sustain their business and grow it. When the market crashed it impacted all banks and my job as well. Some employees of companies lost up to 40% of their hard earned retirement dollars and their jobs almost over night. I was fortunate that my financial expertise, background, personal savings and what was left of my 401(k), kept me and my family afloat until I was able to bounce back on my feet. Three months after loosing my job my daughter Ava was born. She is 10 years old now. At that point, I vouched to never put myself and my families financial piece of mind in the hands of the unforeseen. My primary responsibility everyday is to mitigate risk for my Clients. I position strategies into their financial plans that do just that.

My agency only provide financial services that mitigate financial risk backed by insurance companies that provide products that protect assets from market volatility, accumulate cash and guarantee life-time income. Not every prospect is a good fit for the services that we provide if they are seeking riskier or aggressive type investments in hopes for better returns. But during the holiday seasons even though consumers and business owners are spending money year round on things that they need or desire, some pay less attention to how much they need to continue funding or establish accounts that mitigate financial risk now and in the later years. Specifically, safe money strategies that: protect assets, accumulate cash, and guarantee income. To keep my agency actively helping people with the services that I provide, I partnering with an Association that services our Military, National Guard, Reserves and Federal Employees. I grew up in a military household so establishing a division within my agency to service those in uniform was a great fit. So when my flagship services helping consumers and business owners slow down, I am actively attending Events throughout the year provided by the Military that keeps me in front of those in uniform that continues to keep cash flow flowing.

I utilized my internal strengths that I learned in my banking career to: Connect, Establish and Convert opportunities that made ends meet to take care of me and my family.

I am not an accountant but I use Small Business Quickbooks software for everyday profit & loss statements and tracking. I also use Paycheck Manager online software for paycheck services. I feel your pain. Growing a sustainable Client base can be challenging. Networking and referrals are great ways to grow your Client base but I personally think that it takes a little more than that to "attract" new Clients. First, critique the services that you currently provide to determine,... (more) I feel your pain. Growing a sustainable Client base can be challenging. Networking and referrals are great ways to grow your Client base but I personally think that it takes a little more than that to "attract" new Clients. First, critique the services that you currently provide to determine, "what makes your services different from your competition?" Not too many people leave their bank, cpa, or doctor until they have issues or concerns with them. So, stay persistent on calling on those prospects. Second, provide value added services and resources that set you apart that encourage them to at least try you out. For example: "How many bookkeepers are providing FREE KPI analysis based upon their Clients industry that's in narrative format that their Clients fully understand and can proactively start making immediate changes to better their business to increase cash flow?" Probably not many. Utilize and promote that FREE service to prospects that you call on that gets you in the door to start dialogue. I have a company in mind that I have used before that provides the financial software that can assist you with that.
