Great question. I run 2 businesses.
One of my businesses deals with interior design, home staging, and home organizing.
Because finding unique pieces can be rather expensive for my staging projects I have taken to creating some of my own artwork and adding it to my inventory. When staging a home for a client, I then mention ( in my contracts) that any of the pieces of what Paloma‘s dream staging and design owns is available for sale and to contact me regarding price.
I market in Facebook and also have a Facebook business page. When working with interior design clients who are looking for a unique piece, I show them some of my portfolio of work. If they love it great!
Then I price it out at that point and add it on to the services I’m also providing with them at the same time . In this way they get a great quality one-of-a-kind piece and everybody’s happy.
The most important part of marketing your work is to understand your clients & get feedback if some pieces aren’t selling. For me, if the piece doesn’t sell, I still use it for Staging inventory. Either way, it’s a win/win.

Hi Sofi
I’m not sure what part of the country you live in but it sounds like you are really struggling.
As a fellow introvert, I can relate to what you’re saying in terms of cold calling and really what some of the others said is also true. In terms of networking, meeting people, talking to people will help your confidence and help your comfort level .
This way you can step outside yourself and not feel like you are put on the spot when you suddenly have to talk about what it is you’re selling or what service you’re providing to other people. ( which I’m sure is very worthwhile)
If you are really passionate about what you have to offer with your own business that will show through and people will take you at face value after they’ve gotten to know, like and trust you. Join some networking groups, join a club where you have passionate interest in it .. get to know people!
Make a normal conversation that is not always about sales and after a while people get around to the so what do you do ? questions.
As a last resort, and you may want to consider this and this is also something that I have a sideline business in as well. I also do business coaching. It is an excellent way to work with someone who is neutral and can help you clarify your goals, your concerns, and your growth of the business.
In any case, while you’re building the business, you may want to take a part-time job that pays hourly so that you can build your savings back up as well as your confidence.
You could perhaps scale back your business to part time until it starts to grow. In this way you will have that slow growth but then once you’re ready to go out on your own again you will also have that confidence to talk about what you (and your business) has to offer.
Good luck Sofi & hang in there!

I have joined several networking groups in addition to Alignable. My advice would be to set up times to sit down and have coffee, lunch, etc & learn about other people's business. People do business with those they like, know and trust. It takes time, but the results are worth it.

In addition, review ways to get the word out you are in business, not just online. Face to face is more organic and even in this day and age, seems to work well.
