How We Got Started

Westerville Automotive has been in the automotive service business since February of 1985. We started as a three bay Gulf service station on the north end of Columbus. As circumstances changed and our business grew, we purchased our current location in February of 1995. This was a five bay facility that quickly grew to seven bays with our expansion in 1997 that included other updates as well as a customer waiting room. In 1997, we also added a second location in uptown Westerville. In doing so, we were able to provide quality automotive service to more of our neighbors and continue to expand our business.

We use many forms of advertising here. Word of mouth, online- SEO, website, radio, Facebook, direct mail ETC. ETC. ETC. The good thing and bad thing about our business is no one needs you until they NEED you. We try to have our name out there so if and when my customers need car repair or just maintenance we are the first that come to mind. Of course being in business for 35 years does not hurt. Trust equals consistency over time.

It is usually feast or famine for us. Content is the big difference maker. The personal in shop content has a better response than the generic check the air in your tires message. Events top the list as far as shared content or likes. Try asking questions to evoke a response!  Merry Christmas! (more) It is usually feast or famine for us. Content is the big difference maker. It is just another day for us. We are usually catching up with our customers kid's cars that are in for the holiday. Here is a tip:::: get your car in early for service before a holiday. Waiting until the day before you leave is NOT the way to go. Gobble Gobble. Have a safe Thanksgiving. (more) It is just another day for us. It is for us anyway.  With just 14 employee's it is paramount for us to have it so we can retain top quality people. I was wise enough to "grandfather" us in before the ACA went into effect. We have stayed that way since and have had minimal yearly increases. If small employer's like us could join groups or open the market to cross state lines it would increase options and choices and lower health care costs.  Maybe some day I can only hope.
