First let me say we have 2600 systems under maintenance agreement. But that is only 29% of the systems we have serviced in the last 18 months. The answer to your question is a mixture of reasons I have collected from customers over the years. 1. Perceived value is not emphasized. 2. It is a commitment. People generally do not like commitments. 3. It is considered inconvenient to schedule the visit during the customers work week. It's not broke so convenience matters.
We found ways to work around these roadblocks successfully.
