Caterpy
Caterpy’s no tie shoelaces make use of the revolutionary elastic bump technology that holds customized tension throughout all eyelets. Caterpy laces strive to solve all shoelace issues. These issues range from the inconsistency of tension throughout the shoe, lack of adaptivity for different foot shapes, and inconvenience of tying laces.
Caterpy no tie shoelaces were originally invented in Japan by an avid marathon runner. He was tired of constantly dealing with shoelaces; they would always come untied, or feel different during training and racing. Through multiple iterations, the elastic bump idea was the simplest design with the most amount of usable features. Although we started with shoelaces for athletes, we recognized the potential application of our shoelaces for multiple markets. Furthermore, we also recognized that our elastic technology could be used across multiple different consumer or manufactured products.
