Some daughters replica their mother’s characteristics, their smiles, and then there are those who follow their mother’s footsteps. Betty Brock done just that as she watched her mother care for many, cook great tasting foods, and delicious snowballs. Like mother, like daughter she was inspired to mimic her mother’s traditions.
Betty Brock was born and raised in Mount Hermon, Louisiana and today she resides in Covington, Louisiana for over forty years. Having achieved success as an entrepreneur, in which she continues to maintain, Betty begun “Yum Yum Gimme Sum,” a mobile food truck. Yum Yum was born in 2012. From the beginning, she had a goal. Not only was this food truck going to take her back to her roots, or meet the needs of festivals, reunions, birthday parties, corporate, church or sport events, but it’ll give her a chance to work with the younger generation where her passion is eternal. She knows one of the major keys to motivation is active involvement.
Betty knows that the younger generation only responds with motivation to people who appear caring and human. Therefore, every scheduled event she and about four younger people load up the food truck, and set out to serve delicious foods, and New Orleans style snowballs that melts right in your mouth. At the events, their day consist of constant work, but lots of enjoyment. The greatest reward for Betty is watching how they connect and perform at high levels.
The mobile food truck continues to bring so much pleasure to them all. Betty use positive influences to enhance their learning by motivating them in a fun and loving environment, while preparing them for the business world. At the end of the day, she continues to live her dreams out and deeply believes her impact will produce greatness in them all.
