I guess by "first clients", that means that you have a brand new business. This may be the easiest time if you're serious about getting customers and are confident about your product/services. If you believe in your product/service(s), focus on the problem it will solve for your potential customer. The more clarity you have in your goal for your business, the easier the process of selling will become. Do NOT think about your business as something you "have" to sell. This is a problem you are helping others solve. There are always customers out there for the craziest of products. If you don't believe this, try searching on ebay to see how many CRAZY things are sold.
If you establish the "problem" you know you can help others "solve", the next step is simply to let people know about it. The reason, ebay sells so many "crazy" things, is because of the HUGE audience it has. So naturally if you "network" with organizations/communities that can share with a huge audience, then shout it from the rooftops and people will come to you because they NOW know about you.
So the short answer to your question: Let people know you exist and what problem you can solve for others. (ie.: "Have a dirty home and don't have time to clean, we can clean your home for $x") Express the problem and the solution. This is the simplest version of presenting an offer. Now if you have a solution and are trying to beat out the competition, try an irresistible offer. This means that you will identify their problem and give them a solution with a deal they won't want to pass up. One of the best ways to check on deals that sell is Groupon. Try going to https://www.groupon.com/ and search for your industry. You may be amazed at how many deals people sell in a very short period of time. However, seriously try this. You'll find that when you have even something as small as $50 x 100.... that's $500. Notice that many deals on Groupon sell for than 1000 of one companies deals in a matter of a week. What would you do with revenue of $50K in one week. (I'm not trying to sell you on Groupon by the way, they charge you a pretty hefty commission on each deal you sell through them and there are other more profitable ways to achieve similar results.)
