Question: are you a member of your local Chamber of Commerce and Builders Association? Other than having to pay the wazoo out for advertising costs, which I've found in the past don't really work, those two organizations helped my business grow and continue (22 years now). I'm a single business owner with a 12 foot step-van, that is my office and work shop; and I'm as busy as I want to be (I let the other 7 locksmiths in my county do those 24 hour service calls). And it depends if you are in a rural area (like where I live) or a big city or suburb; what you charge is reflective of the area you live in.
