About Us
Before retiring as a Director of Care for home care I began taking classes in silversmithing. That led me to metal clay where I found great freedom and joy in jewelry making.
With Donelle’s Silverfinch Jewelry Design I design, and hand fabricate one of a kind jewelry. My inspiration comes from fine art, my travels, and nature. I make unique wearable art because jewelry is personal.
Due to COVID I lost my main source of income with community markets being cancelled. So this year I designed my own website and I’m taking marketing. What a year of learning this has been!
How We Got Started
One of the things I decided to do to keep me fresh and learning is to enter contests. Before COVID this year one of the contests had the theme of the Roaring Twenties. I researched period fabric, found one I liked, drew it, and then carved it into metal clay. I was so thrilled! I won an award from Metal Clay Europe for that pendant!

It’s true that you need to discern who your customer base is, that said, you are doing so much right! I love the idea of approaching businesses to be their travel agent. Also, MLM groups travel for conferences, so this may also provide a door for you. What you are selling is worry/hassle free travel, happy memories, joy, peace of mind, and your expertise. It has never occurred to me that the travel agent must have gone where I’m going, only that they know how to get me there. You sound like like a wonderful person. I hope you don’t give up. You have entered the kind thoughts of so many of us already. I wish you well.

As a silversmith with Donelle’s Silverfinch Jewelry Design, I feel overjoyed when someone puts on a piece of jewelry that is a one of a kind, and their eyes light up! We both feel happy and more importantly, she feels beautiful.
