The Prom Project of Michigan empowers survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence by organizing annual prom events. These events provide milestone moments for individuals who deserve recognition and celebration. Partner with them to support survivors and make a lasting impact.
How We Got Started
God said "organize a prom". Our Founder, Dominique Johnson, has said this is the message she received at 3 a.m. on a early Wednesday morning. Her reply to the call, "Yes God, that sounds like a good idea!" From that moment in 2018 to the formation of The Prom Project of Michigan 501c3 in 2021, she has made it her mission to provide events, resources, and partnerships to support survivors of sex trafficking and domestic violence.
