Artists for Conservation Festival:
Thank you for joining us at the 9th annual Artists for Conservation Festival (AFC) is a multi-day art and environmental education event, featuring a world-class conservation themed art exhibit with leading international, and regional artists, films, live demos, music and cultural performances. Presented by RE/MAX Agents of Lower Mainland.
The AFC Festival 2019 was held in Vancouver at VanDusen Garden from Sept 26 - 29th. Find out more at: http://www.artistsforconservation.org/festival
AFC Website:
The AFC website features several thousand original and limited edition nature artworks with over 5,000 original paintings and over 500 original sculptures. It is the largest and most visited site of its kind, receiving up to half a million hits per month.
Art for Conservation Program:
This online program provides artists with a platform to gain exposure for their artwork and allows them to earmark a percentage of any work they sell for a conservation organization of their choice. The program has over 100 conservation beneficiaries with Artists’ commitments worth over $13 million US.
AFC Flag Expedition Program:
Launched in 2005, this program facilitates the field study and artistic rendering of endangered species or habitats deserving of greater public attention. AFC artist members can apply for fellowship grants to explore and document one of the world’s remaining true wildernesses and to observe and portray the rare and endangered species that live in those places.
In addition, AFC holds an annual juried art exhibit live and virtual, and facilitates the AFC Conservation Artist of the Month Award and the Simon Combes Conservation Artist Award.
Artists for Conservation (originally "Worldwide Nature Artists Group") was founded in 1997, when the Internet revolution was in its infancy and the World Wide Web had existed for only four years.
AFC's membership spans five continents and nearly 35 countries, and comprises 500 of the world's most gifted nature artists and dedicated conservationists.
AFC brings together an unparalleled pool of artistic talent focused on nature, to help conservation organizations and their partners communicate the important issues facing us and our natural world today.
