When a lead visit my venue and I have done everything that i could to present them with best possible presentation and i know that they love my venue, but doesn't buy. I resort to the fact that they are shopping around and want to tour other venues before they make a final decision. I will wait about a week and drop a friendly thank you card in the mail thanking them for considering my venue for thier special event. And I will also invite them if they have made a decision to choose another venue that they consider my business for future needs. I will also  ask if they are willing to complete a short survey to let us know how we can improve in the future.

I am a wedding venue most of my clients let me know that they will be giving me a call back after they have toured my venue. I  try to  coach them into giving me a specific date after the initial call. I realize in my business the clients is shopping around for the best venue for their budget. I figure that is going to take a week or two so I ask the clients if it would be fine if I follow up in a week to see to see how they are coming along in thier search.  If by that time they have not made decision on the venue they want to book. I will tell them that I will be glad to have them come back out to my venue  for another tour, then its your job to sell them on booking your venue. Always after each  visit, call or email say " thank you for taking the time speaking with me today, and thank you for considering your business. Then go for the closing ask for a date and time for the final followup, if they give you a date and time. Don't start your relationship on the wrong foot. Call on time. Never, ever be late with your follow up calls. Not even by a minute. The promptness and respect you show on a follow up call reflects on you, and your company.

I used personal contacts to find my first clients. I worked as a supervisor at a major hospital in my local town. I made face-to-face, passed out flyers and business cards. All was very affective. To pull all the stops in service to a customer will prove to be one of the most valuable things that a business can do. Because, there are only two ways to improve the operations of your business: increase sales or decrease cost. The latter decreasing costs is hard in todays business environment. And increasing sales, doing so by improving customer service is highly effective
