I would go buy a Radon test kit at a building supply company or hardware store then find out the exact levels.  You want the level to be below  the EPA action level of 4PiC/L. On one hand it would be advisable to contact the local school board and let them know about the disconnect with curriculum and the real world.  Also, consider hoping on an Advisory Board with the local Industrial Technology Department within your local school district as they are open to hear what business owners need in regard to producing employable workers within the community. For the occasional student that wants to work, coming into a job where they know very little may be a good thing because you can mold and teach them what they need to know that is work related.  Lastly, consider taking part in local job fairs that many senior high schools have annually.

All houses have some type of issue.  When an issue is discovered, it is all in the way you present it to the buyer so not to scare them away from the purchase. On the other hand, I am there to do a thorough job for the person whom hired my judgement.
